Almay Skin Stays Clean

TEST DRIVE: Saucony Progrid Guide

Today I will speak of my "stable", the Saucony Progrid Guide 2.
First, a look outside: the mesh is very breathable, but at the same time the idea of \u200b\u200bbeing very strong .. The heel is rigid and the upper that covers it is quite padded for a better grip. The sole has a classic bow of plastic heel and forefoot, but there is not much "gap" between the two (this morning I saw that Saucony, such as Nike and Brooks, in some models has the sole that touches the ground for the entire length of shoe, with no bridges that underline the heel). For the rest of the sole is fairly smooth and without major channels, except for a separate piece on the heel reminiscent of a solution also adopted by Adidas ... At the center of the heel is also a clear window that reveals the Progrid technology.

After this description of "aesthetics" indossiamola ... And here you notice is the strong point: extraordinarily fit. Then you know, everyone has his foot and his shoe, but this is really convenient!
heel, thanks to the padding described above, it is felt, the upper winds well to the sides, the tip is large enough to breathe foot without making it move in the orizzontale.Anche insoles (well studied) is supported by most of the arch. And the fact that it is a stable with a good support does not feel at all.
Once worn, tied the way I like it and we go for an outing, asphalt and gravel road. The first thing I feel is the weight, but now I think:
  1. last time I have been using Nike Skylon 11 (290grammi) or, at most, Nike Pegasus 26 (330grammi).
  2. this is a stable, normal weight is more.
In any case, its 350 grams are felt for the first 4-5 miles, but then you get used to and the problem does not arise.
cushioning the heel is valid and will take a very smooth rolling.

In essence, a very good training shoe for athletes with medium-strong, who know how to play it safe by choosing a brand like Saucony.

Now the market is the third evolution, Saucony Progrid Guide 3: there are differences in the inserts to the upper (little or nothing, basically), the sole under the arch and the insertion of the heel Mesh Hydrator and on the insoles, which would increase the breathability.

Prices are around € 150, but if are offered in the Guide 2 know that a shoe is very valid!

Hoping to be helpful, I wish you all a good race!
