TEST DRIVE: 2 + NIKEiD Nike LunarGlide

I'm talking about the sixth edition of Sant'Agata Run to be held Jan. 30 at Fossalunga (TV). In addition to the half marathon of 21,097 meters, there are also routes 12 and 6 km for those who may have been dormant (Running speaking) during this harsh winter.

In view of the many spring marathons, I suggest this means it can be a good way to train together!
I'm talking about the sixth edition of Sant'Agata Run to be held Jan. 30 at Fossalunga (TV). In addition to the half marathon of 21,097 meters, there are also routes 12 and 6 km for those who may have been dormant (Running speaking) during this harsh winter.
path (reading from the official site) is almost completely flat and paved. The past years, the circuit also included a section in the airport's military Istrana, but this year it will not be possible.
A point in favor of this race are also refreshments, according to those who have already participated in previous editions, is stocked. Another reason to be there!
The start will be at 9:00 am, contemporary for all paths (hopefully in the mercy of whoever is walking), shopping center Sira.

Often, before starting to run, walk facing the mp3 player, trying to choose the songs you want to start that session ... That should be fast, well-paced, leaving an appropriate number which I do, and possibly ... not always the same. This thing often fought with my lack of desire to seek new and appropriate to feel I am always the same tracks ...
There are various posts around the net people who should hear what, but you know, everyone has their own tastes.
For this reason, the staff of NikeRunning.com has carved out a space on its site (in the U.S., for now) for runners like me. Basically, each week selects and recommends five tracks with which to go for a run, and there are for everyone: Pop, Rock, Indie, Hip-Hop, Dance.

I tell you already that 90% of the titles tells me very little, so I do not know how the quality of the selection. Keep in mind that is made by people on the other side of the globe ... In my last outing, on a 7km 4'40 "/ km in my usual route along a dirt road in the middle of the green channel, for the first time I heard the latest CD Negramaro, House 69. As I loaded in the player I was rather doubtful (as some of you now, I suppose) ... But I must say I was quite pleased, both as a runner than as a mere listener.
As a listener, I must say that This group has not changed much over the mold to the previous album, The Window, although this seems a little more rock into many pieces. Then Julian was the voice that characterizes a thousand, and this thing can like it or not. Personally, I appreciate. From
runner, I say that this CD is a great accompaniment for a workout well done, maybe a dozen miles in which you want to push more. Alternate tracks that accompany so as not to feel the miles ("Without You", "Casa 69") and those that urge to lower the pitch of about ten seconds (between all "Luna", even if it starts with a tune like to "Ululalaluna" the blacks, but also "Miss You"). Classical playlist to put when you go running to vent a bit!
Some songs I think to exclude them while running, as "London's Burning", but it remains a great song from "easy listener".
In essence, a good album to be kept in the chamber inside the ipod!
If anyone is keen on this band, I also know that a tour will begin in mid-March .. For info, ticketone!

Maybe all these things to be found inside. Today I read that when Pandora opened the famous vessel, ran out of fear, jealousy, sorrow, malice, passion and sadness and are scattered in the mountains and valleys, changing the lives of men. TEST DRIVE: Mizuno Wave Fortis 3 vs. Wave Last 2
During one of my boring lunch breaks spent in the warehouse of the store where I worked (too far away to come home) I decided to try it both ways a lot of customers have enjoyed: The Mizuno Wave Fortis Last Wave 3 and 2.
Without too much talk, I go into a store and I take Fortis 3: I just hit the canvas, very thin, lightweight and breathable. Picking up I realize that the heel is stiff and very wide horizontally, arriving at the shin, which should increase stability.
The sole is quite simple and smooth in front, while behind is just on the edge of the heel and surrounds the cushioning Wave, Mizuno Classic, on the back of the shoe stands out even the elastomer VS-1. Just put it
feet, I feel just the plastic headband, which merges with the Wave system, create a line on the sole, not very compatible with my foot (I have fairly flat feet), the shoe has a very large plant and tend to tighten a bit on the ankle, but I know that that feeling would pass after a few km, the time to adapt. Walking over and making some small sprints (still in shop), I feel that the damping is rather reactive and dry, especially for those used in shoes more "fluid". I remain very impressed dall'elastometro that softens the impact, although it has its own function only when the shoe heel impacts the extreme (but still better than nothing).
I'll be back in stock and take one last second. The considerations on the heel, sole and canvas are unchanged, although the latter has a different story. This, unlike the Fortis, has the technology VS-1 even under the forefoot, providing an additional and very good damping: this means that the shoe is a little higher in front, and decreases the perception of the arc plastic compared to Fortis. Even the elastomer in the heel is increased, enhancing its function. A sensation, the plant seems slightly narrower and softened the ankle, making the shoe more comfortable overall.
For the more vain, I can say that the two are visually quite similar.
Prices for Fortis of around 120 and 140 for the Last. Then you know, the firm began a few days, you may still find the offer! ;)

LOGBOOK: Towards the Treviso Marathon (first episode)
The calendar shows 77 days and 13 hours, and the preparations for the marathon continues to Treviso. This week I trained at the sound of racing between Guarda, Spreyton and now Vazzola (although I do not know if they qualify for training). The 11 km
abundant Watch Montebelluna I had to lower the staff about 10km to 47'35 "(from the start, because the first mile or the arrival, then no initial traffic, I made a satisfactory 46'40" about ), in a race where I was playing at home, given that the section road that runs along the canal route is my traditional training, and for this I was able to anticipate the other runners knowing the exact location of which passes under the strettoria rail! In any case a better race, a nice location and a great organization, with the only flaw that intersect with the arrival of the car ... But the organizers have already told me that next year will vary. Four days later I go to
Spresiano, where the goal was to recover from Sunday's race (physically) and the good result obtained (mentally). Was it the cold that stung, will have been the many people who was pressing from the back ... but unexpectedly I lowered my time again on the 10km, taking it below the 47 ', namely 46'58 ". At the restaurant I also know Heidi, experienced runner who sent me home with a nice haul of tips and advice!
The satisfaction of the race gives way to a bit of soreness the next day, when I woke up I start to feel some problems in the legs, particularly over the left kneecap, where the day before I had heard but underrated onomatopoeic a "crock."

This morning, before going to Spresiano to make the 10 km (which I will tell calmly in a post in the afternoon), I opened my Facebook and I found a link where Nike Running said to be in Los Angeles , to ' International Consumer Electronics Show 2011, but did not say what had gone to do ... Without giving too much weight, I've been preparing quietly, but before leaving I gave an updated e. .. a new post, this time a video (for those has facebook, please click here to view ). The first thing I said was BEAUTIFUL!
Then I watched the video and tried to understand all the features ...
This "clock" is the latest evolution of Nike + technology by 2006 runner approaches to many owners of Nike (I'm concerned). For the uninitiated, consists of a Nike + chip to be inserted under the insole that communicates with the Nike SportBand or Apple devices (iPod nano, iPod touch or iPhone), giving data on distance, speed, time, calories burned. Many are hesitant as to whether a chip on your shoe to be precise on the distance: here you say that the chip is first calibrated, then personally I can say that without having graduated, the last two races I have done wrong just slightly (instead of 11,120 and 11,050 today, 10,020 instead of 10,066).
But back to the news, Nike + SportWatch GPS. Unlike the SportBand has, as its name suggests, the GPS that permanently cancels the small defects in precision. It is also able to store the path can then see when connected to pc. The data will then be managed by NikeRunning site, which will store runs, progress, personal time ... all shared with the community through the website or other platforms like Facebook or Twitter.
This is also coupled to the cardiac wing created by Nike in cooperation with Polar. Although the heart rates will then be monitored through the clock and will be recorded by the equipment Nike +.
The release date has been set to unofficially April 1, and for the price you do not know anything yet ...

Today I will speak of my "stable", the Saucony Progrid Guide 2.
First, a look outside: the mesh is very breathable, but at the same time the idea of \u200b\u200bbeing very strong .. The heel is rigid and the upper that covers it is quite padded for a better grip. The sole has a classic bow of plastic heel and forefoot, but there is not much "gap" between the two (this morning I saw that Saucony, such as Nike and Brooks, in some models has the sole that touches the ground for the entire length of shoe, with no bridges that underline the heel). For the rest of the sole is fairly smooth and without major channels, except for a separate piece on the heel reminiscent of a solution also adopted by Adidas ...
